Unlock Your Huawei E153(u-1, u-2, u-3) Permanently with any Carrier

I will share to you guys, how to permanently unlock your Huawei E153u-1, E153u-2, and E153u-3 with any mobile carrier. Please read it and understand first before conducting the procedure. I did this three times, two owned by my friends, and one owned by my sister.


You will need these files:
QPST Program
Huawei Flasher - Thanks to francesco
E153 Firmware

Instructions:
Backup your Modem
1. Plug in your Huawei usb modem.
2. Install the QPST Program.
3. After installation is complete, run the program.

4. Locate the port of your usb modem '3G Application Inteface'. Go to 'Control Panel' > 'Hardware and Sound' > Under 'Device and Printers', click the 'Device Manager'.

5. Back to QPST, click 'Ports', click 'Add New Port...'

6. Uncheck 'Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostics ports only'
Highlight the port number of your modem. In this photo, it's port 'COM4'.
7. Click 'OK'.

8. Phone Name must like the same as picture below.

9. Highlight the COM4, then click the 'Start Clients' then click 'Software Download'.

10. In QPST Software Download, click 'Backup'.
PORT: make sure it selected the same port that we highlighted earlier, if not click browse and change it.
QCN File: Location where you will save the backup data. Remember this location. After everything was all set. Click 'Start', wait for it to finish.

Flashing the Modem
1. Plug in your Huawei usb modem with unsupported simcard.
2. Exit the program of your modem or the so called dashboard.
3. Extract and run Huawei Flasher.
COM: Check if the port number is detected correctly, change if you can. If not unplug and replug your modem. It must be the '3G PC UI Interface'.
4. Click 'Select Firmware'. Select 'Extract from EXE', now locate E153 Firmware. It's file name is E153Update_11.609.18.00.00.B427.exe.

5. Uncheck the 06.bin under 'MODEL'.

6. Click 'Flash Modem', select 'Normal Mode', a pop up window will appear saying "Press OK if modem is connected".
Wait a moment because your dashboard will going to run, exit the program, then click 'OK'.
7. Wait until it finish and says DONE!
8. Encounter an error? It's Okay, replug your USB Modem, exit the dashboard.
Continue to next procedure, backing up the modem.

Backing Up the Modem
1. Open the QPST Software Download, select 'Restore'.
QCN File: Location where you will save the backup data. Click 'Browse' to locate it.
2. Select the backup NVitem. select 'Open', click 'Start'.

Congratulations! You have unlock your Huawei E153 usb Modem!
